SAIPEDES / 01About SAIPEDES
SAIPEDES is an industrial digital twin demonstration brand built around a fictional factory.
The same workshop supplies the setting for spatial layouts, equipment records and operating signals. Each asset and event was designed for readers who want to practice observing a production system and explaining what they see.
SAIPEDES / 02Design principles
Identify where a measurement came from before asking what it means.
The most important context for a number is its asset, unit and time window. We design around the ability to distinguish an observation from a working hypothesis and to name what someone on the floor would need to check.
SAIPEDES / 03Technical approach
A browser-based simulation links positions in a workshop to equipment identities and example measurements.
Fictional assets make the relationships easy to explore. For a production deployment, the equipment identity, signal quality, sampling period and boundaries of the monitored system would each need independent validation.
SAIPEDES / 04Development direction
We are exploring shift comparisons, event reconstruction and clearer handover narratives.
We want to find out how few view changes it takes to explain a stop and whether two different roles can continue an investigation from the same record. These questions guide exploration. Available features and timing are reflected in each actual release.
